I am married to Amy Lansky (since 1984) A former Computer Scientist at SRI International and NASA Ames, Amy is now a writer, Homeopathic advocate, and more. Her first book, Impossible Cure: The Promise of Homeopathy, is a bestseller on Amazon. Her second book, Active Consciousness: Awakening the Power Within looks at consciousness and meditation (among many topics). Her third book, Living in Synchrony: A Guide to Healing and Reclaiming Our Powerful, Natural Humanity organizes the entire healthcare spectrum, both traditional and alternative, in a novel way.
We have two children: Izaak (born 1988, now a product manager at Google) and Max (born 1991, now a motion-graphics designer).
I am the author of an open-source Computer-Aided Design program called Electric (available at no cost through the Free Software Foundation). Electric is used to design integrated-circuit chips.
In 1987, I wrote a textbook, Computer Aids for VLSI Design, which describes the algorithms used to do integrated-circuit design.
I currently teach many audiences.
